Greetings y'all ;
I can't remember the last time junior mint had the sniffle, a good old fashioned sinus headache . One that brought me heartache. Like most parents I'd rather take the hit than see my progeny suffer. Poor little nemo even took a nap. For those who know my prince of perpetual motion you'll know this is extremely rare. I was worried it would interfere with his bedtime but alas after our usual reading and snuggling he was out like a lamb.
Mark Knopfler once sang "My darling boy, my darling boy . All if my sunshine and all of my joy, you're all that matters, all that matters to me .... I can't stop the pain when it calls and I can't stop the rain when it falls . My darling who can?"
I don't think he was referring to head colds but still watching a little boy with a sinus headache brings me heartache. I know he will suffer in his journey through this lifetime on mother earth. I accept my role as guide and teacher as I try to show him the tools necessary to plow the garden the garden of life, weed out the unwanted plants and harvest that which will offer him the greatest abundance of love, happiness & success. But by golly my heart hurts seeing him suffer with sniffles.
He made me laugh when we decided he wanted Christmas cookie pizza for dinner. We used our Trader Joes whole wheat pizza dough. He rolled it out then used Christmas cookie cutters to create several little bite size pizzas. Even when he feels a bit off he can make me smile.
"My darling boy , my darling boy . All of my sunshine and all of my joy...."
Hey folks if possible if you choose to comment then please leave comments here. It makes for greater continuity. I really appreciate any an all feedback. I'm new at this patenting thing and make a myriad of mistakes.
ReplyDeleteThanks
I hope he feels better quickly. I love the idea of using cookie cutters to make little pizzas. We are going to try that. We tried pizza on the grill. It was a big diaster. We had burnt crusts and cheese not melted. This idea sounds more fun.
ReplyDeleteHmm pizza on the grill sounds challenging and fun. I love that you're willing to try new things and accept the successful with the not so successful. Keep having fun, but I know you do.
DeleteYour quote from Knopfler was spot-on, but I substitute "girl" for "boy" in my mind...
ReplyDeleteI had the most wonderful and slightly heartbreaking discussion with my lovely lady the other day. We spent at least 5 hours either sitting or lounging on my bed as she poured out her soul...I'm torn. I love her to the core of her being, but I feel unprepared to help her on this particular journey. I'm praying...about so many things these days. Sigh.
